Once again Marlon Holiday Resort was very proud and privileged to host This Alfred County rally.

This last weekend saw Marlon Holiday Resort once again hosting the Natal Motorhome Club of S.A.

Marlon Holiday Resort would like to thank all the Campers, Caravans and Chalet dwellers who visited and supported us over the December holiday season. To you who were re visiting us, a special thank you.

Ray and Rose Walker, with son Andrew, invited Dot and I to spend a weekend at Marlon Holiday Resort on the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast recently. No second invites were needed, it was full steam ahead and we got there at a rate of knots, not even the MSC Opera could get up!

CCSA region Alfred County visited Marlon Holiday Resort for their October rally this last (5th-7th) weekend. Although the rally was only to be held from Friday to Sunday a number of caravaners took advantage of Marlon's special offer for rallies and arrived on Tuesday and one or two only left on Monday.

This was a national gathering with families from all parts of South Africa. The celebration took the form of a picnic and braai.

After much planning the trip to the NAGM was finally here. Gauteng here we come. Early eventful start at 4am with Tayla getting stopped by a Police van, glad to know that Gonubie is under the watchful eye. And so started the trip. First pit stop at the Caltex for a much needed bathroom break and a stretch of the legs.

A blustery start to the weeked as our fellow campers tried to find themselves a sheltered spot. Storm straps on and all ready for the weekend. Great excitement as the Hodgkinsons rolled in with their new caravan in tow, and if that wasn’t engough, shaun fancying himself as the jaffle master proceeded to use up countless loaves of bread to feed the campers. They were delicious.

To complete our restyling of our blocker front walls, we are now introducing the new 100cm size for the blocker pro. Some of our members arrived early for the weekend. The Conradies, Heaths, Pieters, Bond- Smiths were all well settled by the Friday when The Browns and I arrived to be followed later by the Brinkleys who were visiting us for the first time. It was good to see that Dave is feeling fit again and he kindly helped me a lot. Angela is almost back to normal too thankfully
